Routine Surgeries for Cats and Dogs

All surgeries are performed on site, using the safest anesthetics available. All surgery patients are continually attended by a registered technician. At the Fall River Animal Hospital, we are proud to have state of the art monitoring equipment. The Cardell Veterinary Monitor accurately measures body temperature, oxygen saturation, carbon dioxide, heart rate and respiratory rate. Your pet's blood pressure is also measured every 5 minutes throughout the anesthetic procedure. We are also proud to provide the best patient warming device available for your pet during anesthesia. This ensures the pet's body temperature remains constant throughout the procedure. All of our elective surgery patients receive injectable pain control medication and go home with additional pain medication. We also offer full pre-anesthetic bloodwork, which is done on site; and discounted microchipping with our spay and/or neuter surgeries. We have a class 4 laser at the Fall River Animal Hospital which is used post operatively on all of our surgeries.. It reduces swelling and inflammation at the surgery site. Patients can then go home with less pain. The laser is also used for injuries of muscles, tendons and ligaments as well as treatment for chronic pain due to osteoarthritis and degenerative joint disease.
